God truly brings beautfy from pain..."No matter how great the trial and how deep the pain, the peace of God is greater still."

I have seen so many changes in my life since God swept me off my feet. What an amazing and beautiful God we have. When God touches lives He does damage! Such bliss...

It's Hard

So going to retreat was amazing...God opened my heart up in many directions. One major thing Scott the speaker reminded me of when speaking was that if you abide in God then the will of God will happen...therefore you will not have to worry about anything.  Then my follow up question in my mind was how do you or what can I do to abide in God...then a following message my Jalon was about what it means to be a Christian or definition. Right then and there it clicked like a bright light.  The reason I have struggled with so many things lately is that I lacked abiding in God.  I have put all my energy in those other things.  What if I abided in God? What if I lived a life pleasing to God? Maybe I wouldn't have been such a mess...(sigh)

When will I learn? How many more retreats?? How many more uplifting conversations will I need? Why not now?

Another thing I have read in a friend of mine blog...he mentioned the greatest commandment of all...to LOVE the Lord with all your heart.  When I read his entry...my heart ached a little...knowing that I haven't truly loved the Lord with all my heart and soul.  (sigh) Please FORGIVE me Lord...

So when I came home from retreat, I walked into the door and saw my apartment.  It looked like a bomb went off.  Then reality hit me...my life was still a mess and things need to change.  Little did I know how hard it would be going back to work the next day and being so unhappy.  Even till now...I'm missing something in my heart. Not sure exactly what it is.

It's so hard to change and have Christ be the focus in your life when you see so many distractions...but as Scott said "Jesus is our goal in a world full of distractions" I just hope I'll be able to see that clearly in my heart.  I must continue to seek and soon I'll find.

As I look back on my notes...it doesn't hit my heart the way it did at the retreat.  As I continue to look at them and read God's word I pray and hope they will live true in my heart, that they may burn like flames that would take down a forest.

If any of you are going on a retreat anytime soon...my prayer is that you won't just be in the moment of God during the retreat...but that you'd be in the moment of God everyday despite whether or not you're at a retreat or not.  As for myself.

I need to learn not only to abide in God but to LOVE...which is the greatest commandment.

(I praise you Lord for the people you've put in my life that help me see more of you, may I bring glory and honor to you through everything that I do. All that I can do is hold on to you and follow the way you lead. I lift up all these praises and prayers to you, and you alone- Amen.)
